Travel Grant: International Congress on Porphyrins and Porphyrias/International Patient Day 2015, Dusseldorf, Germany - September 13 - 16, 2015


The Canadian Association for Porphyria/Association Canadienne de Porphyrie (CAP/ACP) is pleased to announce a Call for Applications for a Travel Grant to attend the International Congress on Porphyrins and Porphyrias/International Patient Day 2015

Number of Awards:

1 grant

Eligibility:

  • The applicant must be a citizen or permanent resident of Canada
  • The applicant must be a member of CAP/ACP
  • The applicant must be at least 18 years of age
  • Preference will be given to applicants having volunteer experience with CAP/ACP

Application Requirements and Process:

  • Application Travel Grant Application 
  • Late and incomplete applications will not be considered.
  • The recipient will be required to submit receipts for travel expenses.
  • The recipient must provide documentation of attending the conference.
  • The recipient will return all awarded grant monies to CAP/ACP should they not attend the conference.

Evaluation Criteria:

A committee will review the applications and notify the successful applicant. 

Application Deadline:

  • June 30, 2015

 

The Mission of the CAP/ACP is:

  • to promote health by providing individuals with porphyria access to related counselling, information, and group support programs.
  • to create and maintain a Canadian porphyria patient registry which will centralize information, and enable the provision of specialized information and services to the porphyria population.
  • to increase the medical profession’s and the public’s knowledge about porphyria through a website, seminars, presentations, educational booths, pamphlets, and information forums.
